Sergey Georgievsky has joined the Public Council for the "Urban Environment" Federal Project

The Director General of the CENTER Agency has joined the Public Council for United Russia's "Urban Environment" project and took part in their meeting on July 17th. The experts and public figures, of whom the council is made up, discussed the project's results for the first half of 2018 and developed a work plan for the second half of the year.

The "Urban Environment" projectis aimed at ensuring broad public participation in the course of the step-by-step beautification of courtyard areas and iconic recreational venues in cities and localities with a population of more than a thousand people. It also seeks to create and improve park areas in cities with a population of more than 250 thousand, and to allow for public oversight at each step of the improvement program's implementation.

The project's purpose is the creation of a positive, contemporary urban environment, as well as to monitor the implementation of plans for the comprehensive beautification of courtyard areas and parks. It aims to develop a system of mechanisms for public participation in and support for the initiatives from citizens in the decision-making process for urban development.
