Receipt of applications to develop the Park for Future Generations concept in Yakutsk has ended

Receipt of applications to participate in the Open Nationwide Competition for the architectural concept and general plan development of the Park for Future Generations public space in Yakutsk, the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), ended at 12:00 p.m. on December 3. A total of 87 participants registered to participate in the Competition.
 
36 teams were admitted to the jury session based on technical review results. Among the participants were architects and designers from 13 Russian cities. Aside from the Yakutsk teams, the competition involved teams from Irkutsk, Kazan, Korolev, Moscow, Murmansk, Nizhniy Novgorod, Rostov-on-Don, Salekhard, St. Petersburg, Ulyanovsk, Ufa and Cheboksary. 13 applications were submitted by consortiums. 4 of which were filed by foreign companies from Germany, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Based on the essays and portfolios of the implemented projects, the jury presided by the Head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aysen Nikolaev will select 5 finalists. The selected teams will participate in a preliminary workshop in Yakutsk and develop the architectural concept and general plan of the Park for Future Generations public space. 
 
The jury session and announcement of the finalists will take place on December 10, 2018.
