Agency CENTER is studying the needs of young residents of Anadyr

28 February, 2019

Agency CENTER experts visited Anadyr, the easternmost town in Russia. The working visit was made as part of the project for the creation of a new type of public space in the town. The purpose of the trip was to collect data for social and cultural analysis, and to study the requirements of young residents, which will serve as the basis for the operation of the new public space.
During the visit, a meeting of the representatives of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER with active young people of Anadyr was arranged by the Youth Support Fund, a non-profit organization, with the support of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Region. The meeting was attended by activists of the Youth Government, Far Eastern University, municipal schools, the multidisciplinary college, and volunteer organizations, who shared their visions for the operation of the new public space.
Meeting participants noted that, in spite of the availability of a sufficient number of conventional educational institutions in the city, young people still need some space for informal meetings, communication, and sharing their knowledge of blogging, business planning, design, music, and media art.

As part of the trip, meetings of specialists of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER with representatives of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Region and local experts were also arranged.
