There are only hours away the New Year starts! Russia is a big country, and its first city to celebrate the New Year is Anadyr, the Easternmost location point. Residents of Chukotka start celebrating the holiday when it is only 15:00 in Moscow. Kaliningrad, the most western Russian region, will start celebrating the New Year an hour later than Moscow.
