Agency for Strategic Development CENTER at the International Festival of Architecture “Zodchestvo”: priorities of urban development, small historic towns, re-development of industrial areas and a city park in Yakutsk

The 26th International Festival of Architecture “Zodchestvo” will be held in the “Manezh” Central Exhibition Hall in Moscow from November 19 to November 21. Agency for Strategic Development CENTER will participate in the festival for the first time, and invites you to join open discussions within the event business program.

The main topic of “Zodchestvo”, RE-CONTEXT, reflects new approaches to the formation and assessment of the quality of urban environment. Based on the competition results, the Organizing Committee selected the best and most relevant special projects aligned to the key idea of the festival. The visitors will see such special projects as RE-CITY, RE-AGGLOMERATION, RE-SUSTAINABILITY, RE-SCHOOL, and RUSSIA RE-PROJECT. The presentation of projects is based on a design concept of creating a structural space in the Manezh exhibition hall, with frame structures resembling step pyramids of unique forms along the central pathway. The curators named the structures “architectons” after suprematic architectural models invented by a painter Kazimir Malevich in 1925.

In the “architecton” of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER “Moscow: RE-prom”will be presented a “RE:INDUSTRIAL MOSCOW” study prepared by the Agency in cooperation with specialists of the Rozhdestvenka Achitectural Bureau, Genplan Institute of Moscow and Marina Khrustaleva, architectural historian.
