Applications for participation in the competition for a master-plan for the area adjacent to the 'Samara Arena' Stadium are now being accepted
The press conference at the launch of the Open International Competition for the development of the territory adjacent to the Samara Arena stadium took place on February 26 at the press center of the TASS news agency.
During the press conference, the First Deputy Minister of Construction of the Samara Region, the chief architect of the Samara Region Anatoly Barannikov spoke about the development strategy of the Samara Region and the role of the competitive territory in the framework of this strategy.. Anatoly Barannikov emphasized the importance of working with the legacy of the 2018 World Cup.
The head of the Samara city district, Elena Lapushkina, in her speech noted the importance of the development of the territory adjacent to the Samara Arena for the city as a whole.
The features of the location and the relevance of conducting research on it were explained by Andrey Korolev, Deputy General Director for Development of Samara Region Development Corporation OJSC.
The head of the organizing committee of the competition, the general director of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER Sergei Georgievskii spoke about the main findings of the analytical research, as well as the procedure for holding an open international professional competition.
The competition will be held in two stages and will take place through June 18. Acceptance of applications for participation in it will stop on March 20. The initiator of the competition is the Samara Region Development Corporation with the support of the Government of the Samara Region and the Administration of the Samara City District.
