On May 18, TASS will announce the start of an international competition for the creation of a new city in the Sakhalin Region
On May 18, at 10:00 (Moscow time), the TASS Press Center will launch an Open International Competition for the development of an architectural and urban planning concept for a new city in the Sakhalin Region. Media accreditation by link.
During the event, speakers will talk about the Sakhalin Region as a subject of the federation, its goals and objectives, provide information about the new city, its development strategy, key features, the importance of the project in terms of urban development and socio-economic potential of the territory.

- Sergey Olontsev, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Sakhalin Region;
- Alexey Rakitsky, Minister of Architecture and Urban Development of the Sakhalin Region;
- Alexander Ivashov, Head of the Municipal Formation of the Korsakov Urban District of the Sakhalin Region;
- Evgeny Bondarchuk, Project Manager, Sakhalin Region Development Corporation;
- Sergey Georgievskii, General Director of the Agency for Strategic Development "CENTER", head of the Organizing Committee of the competition.
The event will be broadcast live on the TASS Press Center website and on the Youtube channel of the CENTER Strategic Development Agency.
The new city will be created as part of the large-scale work carried out by the Sakhalin Region Development Corporation with the support of the regional government.
