The IX St. Petersburg International Cultural Forum will take place on November 11–13.

The main theme is “The Cultural Codes of the New Normal”.

The forum will contribute to the expansion of Russian cultural presence in the world and create favorable conditions for the promotion of Russian spiritual values and its rich heritage abroad.

It is an international platform for meetings, open dialogue and exchange of experience between specialists in the field of culture and cultural policy, representatives of state authorities, politicians and business people from various countries.

The main goals of the forum are the development of international cooperation in the cultural sphere; the support and development of Russian culture as an important strategic resource of the country; support for cultural initiatives; the promotion of the prestige of the Russian culture; assuring the ubiquity of cultural and spiritual values; informing younger generations about the heritage of Russian and world culture; positioning of St. Petersburg as one of the cultural capitals of the world.

Within the framework of the International Cultural Forum, the jubilee section "Creative Environment and Urbanism" will be held, the head of which is the chief architect of Moscow, Sergei Kuznetsov. This year the topic of the section will be “Healthy Environment as a New Cultural Code”.

On November 12, Sergei Georgievskii, founder of the CENTER Group of Companies, will participate in the session “Does It Come Down to Greenery Only? What Green Cities and “Green Architecture” are Really Capable of”.

Session participants will discuss: What are eco-framework/green frameworks and green infrastructure? How can urban landscapes respond to contemporary challenges, including climate ones? How can urban frameworks become more robust given the threat of novel virus pandemics? What green building technologies can make cities safer and cleaner? What are “healthy buildings”?
