Today, a press conference devoted to the project for development of a master plan for the city of Yakutsk, Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) took place.
The initiators were the Government of the Republic (Sakha) Yakutia, represented by the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning under the aegis of the Head of the Sakha (Yakutia). Partners: District Administration of Yakutsk, AO DOM.RF, and Special Purpose Fund of Future Generations of the Sakha (Yakutia) Republic non-profit organization. The operator of the competition and developer of the research will be Agency for Strategic Development CENTER.
The basis for the project will be “Integrated assessment of the potential for development of the city district of Yakutsk” research, which will analyze the socio-economic situation of the territory and assess the urban development potential.

The Yakutsk master plan will be developed by the participants of the Open Nationwide Competition who are professional organizations in the field of integrated territorial development and urban planning, architecture and design, which operate in Russia and are able to bring economics, finance and content programming experts into their team.
Three finalists of the competition will present their proposals on the development of the master plan for Yakutsk. The best master plan will be selected and presented on May 25, 2022.
The master plan resulting from the project will determine the main vectors for the development of Yakutsk in the medium and long term. Its goal is to solve the strategic objectives of the development of Yakutsk and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) as a whole, and the master plan will contribute to the socio-economic growth of the region, taking into account the recommendations for action for resilience and sustainable development of Yakutsk: improving the urban environment, increasing social integration and stimulating a closed-loop economy.
