On June 8–11, Moscow will host ARCH Moscow 2022, the 27th International Exhibition of Architecture and Design. The trade show’s center of gravity will be the stand of its Honored Guest – the city of Derbent, which will be a venue for the business program.
In a series of open discussions, experts will explore best practices in urban planning as illustrated by Derbent’s innovative experience in implementing a master plan for Russia’s oldest city. Work to execute the master plan of the ancient Dagestani city has been under way since 2019. The first milestones in the total transformation of Derbent will be presented to visitors in Gostiny Dvor on June 8–11.
Program:
The central event at ARCH Moscow dedicated to Derbent will be the round table entitled Resilient Derbent. Strategist City. The discussion will delve into the key issues of the project:
Project management in the Republic of Dagestan and the role of the master plan.
Resilience as a modern challenge – developing human capital, the economy, and the social sphere.
How do we establish work for the long run, align a common vision for the government, residents, and business, and carry out a step-by-step transformation?
The form and content of a document – how can we follow recommended practical guidelines and launch unique development projects?
