The new communication platform will bring together Russian and international experts in the field of urban planning, environment, architecture, restoration, redevelopment, production of building materials and smart technologies.
Sustainable urban development is one of 17 sustainable development goals set by the United Nations, which implies balanced development of territories, creation of a comfortable environment for life, work and development of the society, as well as development and integration of innovative technologies in management of these processes. At the forum in Moscow, Russian and foreign participants will share their experience in introducing sustainable development innovations and discuss possible ways to achieve a balance between socio-economic development and preservation of ecosystems.
The idea of the forum arose at a time of international transformations and deepening cooperation of Russian companies with the business environment of developing countries. The International Sustainable Cities Forum will become a new platform for setting strategic plans, sharing experience and business networking.
The main topic of the two-day business program of the event will be human-centricity as the main trend in development of cities and the society. It will be focused on various aspects of cities’ functioning, such as formation of residential metropolitan areas, social and economic strategies of Russian regions, transport infrastructure, innovations in the industrial belt, preservation of historical buildings and territories, use of clean energy, preservation of water resources and terrestrial ecosystems, working environment, economic growth, and residents’ responsible consumption.
