Sergei Georgievskii moderated the Comfortable City conference
Today, the Comfortable City: New Challenges conference has taken place at the Artplay Design Center. It has been organized by Moscow City Architecture Committee. The moderator of the “Formation of a comfortable urban environment in conditions of densely developed development” session was the General Director of Agency CENTER Sergei Georgievskii.
Today, it is becoming clear that the emergence of new requirements for urban environment conditions is not just a tribute to fashion, but the needs of citizens, which must be taken into consideration. The modern concept of a “comfortable city” should not only include a developed transport system and a fully-fledged infrastructure, but also accessible, and most importantly, safe public spaces.
At the conference, developers, architects and representatives of the city administration discussed the creation of infrastructure facilities, the transport situation and the formation of a community of tenants in new districts of Moscow. Schools as a center of public and sports life of the district, city parking, landscaping roofs of residential buildings and social infrastructure were all topics discussed by experts for several hours.
