21 December, 2022

On December 21, a meeting of the Jury of the Open All-Russian Competition for a concept for development of the historical-natural Kostenki-Borschevo-Arkhangelskoye park in the Kostenki village was held.

The Jury included representatives of executive authorities, as well as local and federal experts in the field of tourism, natural and historical and cultural territories, urban planning and architecture.

Konstantin KuznetsovThe Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Voronezh Region

Today we have identified the top three. During the consideration of applications, much attention was paid to the experience of implementing project proposals, and especially in the field of work with natural and historical-ly significant territories. Our main task, first of all, is to implement the concept of the development of the Kostenki-Borschevo-Arkhangelskoye historical and natural park, and not just leave it on paper, therefore, the realism and fundamental feasibility of the key idea of the development of the natural and historical park, stated in the essay, also played a big role.

The jury considered 35 applications from 15 individual participants and 20 consortiums. The experts evaluated the participants according to several criteria: the relevance of the projects presented in the portfolio, the experience of implementing project proposals, the content of the essay and the proposed idea for the development of the territory of the historical and natural park.

Andrey YerenkovHead of Voronezh Region Architecture and Urban Planning Department

When we first saw the catalog of applications with submitted essays and visual materials in the portfolio, it was immediately clear that the choice was very difficult for us. Most of the teams of participants had experience relevant to the competitive task. We have not yet had to work with such a complex territory. To develop a vector for the development of this territory for decades to come, of course, we need the experience and con-solidated work of highly professional interdisciplinary experts who work on the market throughout Russia.

Based on the voting results of the Jury members, three finalists were selected:

Finalists will have to develop their bids by April 7th.

The Winner of the Competition will be determined on April 27 at the final meeting of the Jury.

The Competition is held with the support of the Government of the Voronezh region and the Kostenki State Archeological Museum Preserve on the initiative of the Department of Architecture and Urbanism of the Voronezh region. The operator of the competition is the Strategic Development Agency CENTER.
