The jury consisted of 12 federal and regional experts in the fields of architecture and design, spatial planning, sociology, construction, urban and regional management and development. The Chairman was the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region, Alexey Leonidovich Texler. Following the meeting, he noted the high number of applications submitted and the widespread participation of participants in the competition.

"It has been a difficult decision. The jury has done a great job in selecting professional teams whose applications included the most relevant experience and interesting ideas and solutions for city public spaces. I am confident that combining large Russian companies with local specialists who fully understand the specific characteristics of the region will lead to thoughtful, economically viable, and non-conventional solutions," - noted Egor Viktorovich Kovalchuk, head of the Miass district, a member of the jury of the competition.

The jury considered 33 applications from 18 individual applicants and 15 consortia from 22 cities, bringing together 53 companies from all over the country. Each participant's portfolio was evaluated according to criteria of relevance, degree of implementation, originality, and diversity of architectural and urban planning solutions, along with a prepared essay on the future project and graphic sketches of its implementation. The submitted applications were highly appreciated by members of the specially-created Supervisory Board whose meeting was held in Miass the day prior.

As Pavel Alexandrovich Yakovlev, General Director of Automobile Plant "URAL" , stated at the end of the jury meeting: "This attention to our contest from professional teams from across Russia has once again convinced us of the need for us to approach the implementation of this project as closely as possible. Predzavodskaya Square and the area adjacent to it should become the new face of the city. We are looking forward to meeting the finalists at the Installation Seminar, in order to get to know each team and each of our future partner companies in person."

In March, the finalist teams will come to Miass for a seminar to personally familiarize themselves with the contest site and its features, for the purpose of generating high-quality proposals. They will also hold working meetings with representatives from the client, executive authorities, local experts, and residents.

The finalist teams must submit their bids by June 19th, after which time they will be examined.

The winner of the competition will be decided on July 5 at a final meeting of the jury.
