On March 29, a press conference took place dedicated to the launch of the Open International Competition for the development of a master plan for the city of Grozny.
The moderator was Andrey Zhurankov, the head of the analytical group of the TASS Press Center.
The initiator of the Competition – Mayor’s Office of the Grozny city with the support of the Government of the Chechen Republic and the major Russian financial institute in the field of development DOM.RF.
Organizing Committee – Agency for strategic development "CENTER”, analytical and consulting company working in the field of development, urban planning and urban science.
The Chairman of the Jury – Ramzan Kadyrov, the Head of the Chechen Republic.
Announcing the launch of the competition, the Mayor of Grozny Khas-Magomed Kadyrov emphasized how important it was to create an attractive and reliable image of the republic and its capital for establishing long-term relationships with investors. It was also highlighted that further development of the city was closely connected with the integration of the republic into the international community.

The further development of the city is closely linked to the integration of the Republic into the international community. This is possible thanks to the establishment of a financial and trade-industrial hub in Grozny, the development of relations with the countries of the Middle East and the development of professional skills in the fields of education, public administration, tourism and agriculture.
In his speech, Anton Finogenov, Director for Development of the Urban Environment of DOM.RF, spoke about the key role of regional programs to improve the quality and comfort of housing and the urban environment in implementation of target indicators of the national project. He also emphasized Grozny's progress in this direction.
Sergey Georgievsky, Co-founder of the Agency for Strategic Development CENTER, introduced the procedures and schedule of the competition, and its target audience. He noted that this Competition would have a strong international focus and be open to professional organizations and inter-industry consortiums in the field of comprehensive development of territories and urban planning from any part of the world.
Muslim Gairbekov, the Chief Architect of the Chechen Republic, and Alikhan Tokshaev, the Chief Architect of Grozny, also took part in the press conference.
