Competition for conceptualizing "Automobile Plant "URAL" JSC’s public space system in Miass has started
On January 18, the press center of the Interfax Moscow office announced the start of the Open Nationwide Competition for conceptualizing "Automobile Plant "URAL" JSC’s public space system in Miass, Chelyabinsk Region. The project is implemented under the patronage of the head of the region, Alexey Leonidovich Teksler.
“In 2024, the Chelyabinsk Region turns 90 years old. Historically, cooperation between industrial flagships and the leadership of the region has been and remains close. With its initiative, the URAL Automobile Plant, together with the city, once again proves that it is not only one of the flagships of the region’s industrial development, but also a role model in the field of socially significant initiatives,” said Sergey Shal, Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, opening the press conference.
This competition is the first architectural competition to be launched in Russia in 2024.
Applications for participation are accepted until February 16, 2024. They should consist of a portfolio of relevant projects, an essay describing the ideas for the territory and its preliminary sketch, as well as information about the company or consortium.
According to results of the qualifying stage, three finalists will be selected based on their relevant portfolio, essay and schematic design and will be engaged in development of competition proposals. The results of the competition will be announced in Miass in July 2024. The total prize fund of the competition is 7,500,000.00 rubles. The winner is also guaranteed a contract for 10,000,000.00 rubles for development of specification documents.
