A competition has been launched to develop a concept for a system of public spaces at the URAL Automobile Plant in Miass
On January 18, the start of the All-Russian competition for the development of a concept for a system of public spaces of the URAL Automobile Plant in Miass, Chelyabinsk region, was announced in the press center of the Interfax Moscow office. The project is being implemented under the patronage of the head of the region Alexey Leonidovich Texler.
"In 2024, the Chelyabinsk region turns 90 years old, historically, cooperation between industrial flagships and the leadership of the region has been and remains close. With its initiative, the URAL Automobile Plant, together with the city, once again proves that it is not only one of the flagships of the industrial development of the region, but also a role model in the field of socially significant initiatives," said Sergey Shal, Deputy Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region, opening a press conference.
This competition was the first architectural competition that was launched in Russia in 2024.
Applications for participation in the competition are accepted until February 16, 2024. They should consist of a portfolio of relevant projects, an essay describing ideas for the territory and its preliminary sketch, as well as information about the company or consortium.
Based on the results of the qualifying stage, 3 Finalists will be selected based on a relevant portfolio, essay and draft design, who will develop competitive proposals. The results of the competition will be summed up in Miass in July 2024. The total prize fund of the contest is 7,500,000.00 rubles. The winner is also guaranteed a contract in the amount of 10,000,000.00 rubles for the development of working documentation.
