The open all-Russian competition to develop master plans for the Krasnoyarsk Region cities of Borodino, Nazarovo, and Sharypovo is entering its final stage: the second cycle of interim presentations by the finalists has taken place—effectively serving as a dress rehearsal for the final event.
The competition is an initiative of the Andrey Melnichenko Foundation, with the “CENTER” Agency acting as operator. The aim is to make these three industrial coal-mining and energy-oriented cities more attractive for living.
The presentations were held online from November 26 to 28, with one day dedicated to each city. Finalists presented the updated versions of their proposals following feedback from the first cycle (held November 6–8). Each team—seven consortia and two individual participants—received comments from Jury members, including representatives of the Melnichenko Foundation, SUEK-Krasnoyarsk, Yenisei TGC, and the mayors. Participants asked clarifying questions and requested additional data.
Since the competition is ongoing, project content remains confidential. However, it is known that finalists have shaped their vision for the medium-term development of the territories, including core ideas, missions, future scenarios, and comprehensive development concepts.
The final Jury meeting will take place on January 23. Results will be announced in early 2025. The three cities will receive detailed development strategies describing concrete projects and funding mechanisms.
