Moscow is actively increasing its industrial potential, including through the redevelopment of industrial territories, where high-tech enterprises are emerging. Vladislav Nikolaev, head of the analytical group at CENTER, discussed how abandoned industrial sites are becoming innovation centers at the “Territory of the Future. Moscow 2030” forum. He delivered a lecture “Redevelopment of Industrial Zones in a New Technological Context” at the forum hosted in the new Bauman MSTU campus.
Industrial production in Moscow is rapidly growing, largely due to the rise of innovative enterprises. Over the last 10 years, the city has increased the production of electrical equipment more than 20 times, and computers, electronics, and optical products almost 36 times.
