From 24 to 28 November, the Central House of Architects will host the most important event of the year in the field of designing and creating green spaces — the 16th Festival National Award of Russia in Landscape Architecture and Garden and Park Art. One of its key components is the business programme. This year, participants and visitors can expect almost twice as many expert events, all open to the public.
The main theme of the programme, organised by the Agency for strategic development "CENTER", is “The Demand for Ecology. How the Green Agenda Is Transforming Cities.”

We decided to focus on this aspect because we are witnessing a fundamental shift: ecology has ceased to be a narrowly professional topic and has become a social demand. People want to live not just in well-maintained environments, but in healthy and diverse ones. This directly affects design approaches, as ecology is one of the key factors in the attractiveness and competitiveness of cities competing for residents.

In addition, from 25 to 27 November starting at 10:00, visitors can attend the project defences submitted for the Award.
The opening ceremony of the Award (24 November at 19:00) and the closing ceremony (28 November at 17:30) are also open to the public. During the closing event, awards will be presented for the best projects across 24 categories, as well as the festival’s Grand Prix.
As part of the event, visitors will also be able to attend an exhibition showcasing works by leading landscape architects.
Each year, the National Award of Russia in Landscape Architecture and Garden and Park Art brings together thousands of industry professionals. The event is held with the support of the Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation, the Moscow Department for Environmental Management and Protection, and leading professional associations.
