Co-founder of the Agency for Strategic Development “CENTER,” Sergei Georgievskii has joined the jury of the architectural competition Arctic Reboot, which aims to improve the quality of the living environment in the capital of Chukotka. The competition is held with the support of the Government of the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug and the administration of Anadyr.
According to the organizers, the goal of the competition is “to create a truly comfortable and inspiring environment for the residents of Anadyr—professionals, families with children—as well as for hundreds of tourists who come to experience the Arctic. The power of participating architects lies in their ability to transform the city, making it more attractive and functional. This is not just a competition, but an opportunity to leave a mark on the history of the Far East.”
The competition includes three categories:
a low-rise development project adapted to the harsh Arctic climate in the area of the Peschanaya Spit, a popular recreational spot for Anadyr residents;
a concept for the development of the national Chukchi village of Tavayvaam on the shore of the Anadyr Estuary;
a concept for an ethnographic cluster near the village of Tavayvaam, focused on tourism development, gastronomy, and improvement of the coastal area.
The call for applications is already open and will run until March 15. More information about the competition is available on the official website: arctic-arch.ru.
Sergei Georgievskii’s participation in the jury highlights the significance of the Arctic Reboot competition for the development of a comfortable urban environment in Anadyr and the support of key projects shaping the future of the capital of Chukotka.
