Building Global Bridges — Moscow Launches International Bridge Awards

20 April, 2026

Moscow has introduced a new international award recognizing foreign professionals who drive the development of cultural and business ties with the city — the inaugural Bridge Awards.

The initiative is led by The Bridge Club — a public–business platform that brings together international professionals living and working in Moscow, alongside Russian experts engaged in global cooperation. The community includes more than 700 foreign residents, reflecting a growing network of cross-border collaboration.

The award was founded by entrepreneur and former politician Philip Hutchinson and public figure Guy Eames, founder and curator of The Bridge Club. The operator of the Bridge Awards is the Agency for strategic development "CENTER".

In partnership with the founders, the Agency played a central role in shaping the concept of the award — from defining its mission, objectives, and nomination structure to forming the jury and expert council. The project creates a framework for recognizing initiatives that strengthen international engagement and contribute to the city’s development potential.

The award includes 12 categories, covering key areas such as:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Culture
  • Science and innovation
  • Public engagement
  • Traditional values

A special distinction — the Alexander Stieglitz Award — has also been established in honor of the prominent Russian financier, statesman, and philanthropist of foreign origin.

The timeline for the inaugural cycle is as follows:

  • Application deadline — May 11
  • Jury session — May 27
  • Award ceremony — June 18

The ceremony will be preceded by a plenary session focused on international cooperation — reinforcing the role of the initiative as a platform that shapes the agenda for cross-border dialogue and partnership.
