Defining the City — Sergei Georgievskii to Join the Selection of Moscow’s Leading Architect of the 21st Century
The June issue of Expert. Urban will name Moscow’s leading architect of the 21st century. The selection will be made by a panel of 30 professionals spanning urban governance, consulting, spatial development, culture, and media. Among them is Sergei Georgievskii, Co-founder of the Agency for strategic development "CENTER".
Each jury member will compile a personal top five of architects and architectural bureaus that, in their view, have had the greatest impact on shaping Moscow’s contemporary urban environment. Points will be assigned based on ranking position — from one to five per nomination. The final result will be determined by the highest total score.
The initiative goes beyond a simple ranking. It creates a framework to assess how Russian architecture has evolved over the first quarter of the century and to identify the key figures who have driven this transformation and shaped the city’s architectural identity.
