The goal of the strategic session is the development of an integrated Road Map for the development of the system of public spaces in the city of Kaluga. The strategic session will take place at the Boiling Point (Tochka Kipeniya) co-working space in Kaluga over two days: June 29 and July 13, 2019.
Representatives of the City Administration of Kaluga and subject matter experts from the departments of urban management, architecture, construction and culture, and other experts will take part in the session.

The event will make the participants aware of different approaches to public space design and of best case studies. The program is aimed at providing participants with advanced tools from the practice of urban development under conditions where the principal goal is competing for human capital, to prepare them for their upcoming work on the Road Map project.
Objective: acquaintance with advanced practices and methodologies of urban development in Russia and other countries, analysis of the current situation in Kaluga, and the collaborative development of a Road Map for the development of the system of public spaces in the city.

Task for independent work
Upon the conclusion of the workshop, the participants will be tasked with developing their own vision of the Road Map for the development of the system of public spaces of Kaluga, which they will have to prepare before the 2nd module of the Strategic Session.

The event is dedicated to the creation of an integrated Road Map for the development of the system of public spaces of the city: presentations of the designs developed by the groups during the workshop of June 29 and the independent work task, discussion of the designs presented, the choice of the optimal option, and its improvement and adjustment.
Objective: discussion and finalization of the design of the integrated Road Map for the development of the city’s system of public spaces.
It will be dedicated to reviewing the results of the previous two weeks of work of the session participants. The participants will present their projects and discuss them with the participation of the experts, as in the first module. The mission of the day will be to select, adjust, and improve the best option.
