Closed competition for concept development of a residential area

NEW SUBURBAN RESIDENTIAL AREA 21 KM FROM KAZAN

Aim of the competition:

To create a conceptual design of the master plan of the residential area and drafts of the main buildings and facilities, taking into account the following functional zoning of the territory: residential buildings, social infrastructure (kindergartens and schools), shopping malls and green recreation areas (parks and squares).

Initial territory — 350 ha

Residential area — 180 ha

The center of Kazan can be reached by car in 20 minutes.

The residential area is located on a highway of federal significance, and links the city with the Kazan airport

Competitors:

30 international teams with experience in designing and implementing residential real estate in climate conditions similar to those in Russia.

Context of the competition:

In modern Kazan, there is the demand for new residential facilities that meet the needs of the new inhabitants of the city.

Kazan tops the rating of the most investment-attractive cities in Russia. It is a venue for major sports, economic and youth events. The IT park has been used to create an environment for successful business operations and the launching of new businesses. In these conditions, the city has seen an increase in the share of young people wishing to purchase homes.
