Development of a system of public spaces in the central part of Kirovo-Chepetsk

Project to develop a system of public spaces in the center of Kirovo-Chepetsk, which will be based on comprehensive analysis of the current state of urban environment and residents’ demands for leisure activities.
As part of the work, it is planned to prepare an architectural and artistic concept and a concept for the development of municipal cultural and leisure institutions. On their basis, detailed proposals for improvement of a square on Pervomayskaya street will be developed, which will become a central object in the urban network of public spaces.

Comprehensive assessment of the current state of the urban environment of the central part of Kirovo-Chepetsk.
- Identification of existing public spaces and territories potentially suitable for organization of public spaces in the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk;
- Identification of socially significant and other objects of attraction in the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk;
- Identification of architectural and spatial originality, a historically established planning structure, and elements of the historical and urban planning environment;
- Identification of identity and architectural/spatial and functional/planning factors that form the uniqueness of the urban appearance and socio-cultural originality of the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk.
Development of a concept of interconnected development of the urban environment of the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk through the development of public spaces.
- Establishing the coherence of existing and planned public spaces between themselves and socially significant and other objects of attraction in the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk;
- Proposals for the development of the road network, including pedestrian and cycle infrastructure in the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk;
- The principles of improvement of identified existing and planned public spaces in the central part of the town of Kirovo-Chepetsk.
- Identification of local communities potentially involved in the use of public space;
- Determining tactics of work of local communities in events staged on the town embankment;
- Determining the tactics of work of a municipal cultural institution with small business (staging joint events on the town embankment);
- Determining the typology of events held on the town embankment;
- Determining the tactics of year-round functioning of public space (principles for creating a calendar of events).
